Coaching & Technical Assistance

All Technical Assistance (TA) is focused on increasing the knowledge and confidence of the provider to  promote and support optimal development for every child. Social Emotional development is critical for optimal development and is a major component of all Technical Assistance programs.

TA is offered through consultation and coaching, which provides support, education and resources. Our educators assist providers in understanding and developing the capacity of each child to form close and secure adult and peer relationships; experience, regulate and express emotions in socially and culturally appropriate ways; and, explore the environment and learn.

When children are given the opportunities and support to develop (learn, practice, discuss, etc.) self-control and other social emotional skills, it gives them the foundation needed for academic and life success.

The General Technical Assistance Program is a collaborative, problem-solving process between the Director, Child Care Provider and your regional educator. Below you will find a general overview of topics our educators are trained in to provide support.
